Scientiquipp is a leading manufacturer of laboratory centrifuges, known for high standards in design, performance, reliability, and safety. Centrifuges are vital laboratory instruments used to separate liquid components of different densities, supporting work across many scientific disciplines. The company offers a wide range of centrifuges, including fixed-angle and swing-out rotor models, along with compatible accessories for pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, medical diagnostics, environmental testing, petroleum analysis, in vitro fertilization, blood banking, and other scientific applications.
Scientiquipp, formerly Plasto Crafts Pvt. Ltd., began manufacturing centrifuges in the 1980s for Damon IEC and Savaant, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Plasto Crafts earned national recognition for its maintenance-free drive system for laboratory centrifuges and has grown steadily over the years. Today, the company has over 4000 installations across leading Indian institutions and corporate clients in pharmaceuticals, biopharma, academia, testing, and healthcare.

Our Legacy
The Apte Group began with the vision and determination of Vaman Shridhar Apte—an entrepreneur who backed India's first motion picture enterprise and steered the Group through the challenges of the Depression era. Over the next century, the family expanded into diverse industries including Sugar, Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Ice Creams, Aerosols, Chocolates, Bulk Drugs, Agriculture, Scientific Instrumentation, and Real Estate. Today, the Group focuses on Scientific Instrumentation and Joint Real Estate Development, continuing a tradition of enterprise and reinvention.
Vaman Shridhar Apte
An entrepreneur who backed India's first motion picture enterprise and steered the Group through the challenges of the Depression era, laying the foundation for a century of enterprise and reinvention.
Madhav Apte & Vaman Apte
The modern chapter of the Apte legacy has been shaped by the late Madhav Apte, former Indian Test Cricketer and Sheriff of Mumbai, and Mr. Vaman Apte, former Indian squash international and Chairman of Dr. Writer's Food Products, and Non-Executive Director at Zodiac Clothing.
Vikram Apte
The business is now led by Vikram Apte, who serves as the Managing Director of Scientiquipp, where he shapes the company's strategic trajectory, technological capabilities, and global expansion. Educated at Shiplake College in the UK, Vikram earned his Master's degree from Imperial College London — an experience that reinforced his commitment to world-class scientific rigor and technical precision. He continues to support international academic and institutional collaboration as a member of the Board of Directors for the Imperial College India Foundation.
